I have noticed that when you have so many things to do your time to do them seems to shrink very quickly in comparison to the number of things that must be done.  I can personally atest to this as I know that every time I get more then a few things on my plate my time almost completely vanishes and I have no time left to do everything that I wanted to do. I can most likely blame a good portion of this on the fact that I love to play RuneScape and and spend a good amount of my time on there.  But also spending time with the wife and son and other projects as well keep me from expanding further on my main site here, spencerteck.com.  Well I hope that I will start managing what little time I have more professionally and start getting a lot more done each day on the site and more progress towards my own education of C#, Visual Basics.Net and Java.

I know it has been a while since I have posted any new udpates to the blog, well unfortunately I have been busy lately with studying for the upcoming U.S. Amerature West Championships in May of this year in Tuscon and also playing AATrader as well (being that I got myself blown up two times so far, lol). Life has been going overall very well though and my playing ability has been slowly increasing in chess.  I can't say the same for AATraders though as I seem to be finding that I am a little think headed and keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Well I am back to work now, gotta get some things done prior to trying to recover from my last disaster online in AATrader tonight.

I have been playing a lot lately at http://aatrade.springfield.net which is the main server for the Alien Assault Traders game at this time.  Currently I am the player Darkonian on board of the ship Normandy attempting to recover from a recent start over due to a horrible cataclysm of my entire Empire, lol.  If your interested in playing an online turns based game I would strongly suggest checking this game out, though you should sign up for a free profile at http://www.aatraders.com first.  This way you can keep track of your results, good or bad, for the lifetime of playing the game.  I would also suggest you read the FAQ and any newbie articles you can find at the forums as well to get a good idea on several strategies that you use to start to develop your little ship and money into a vast galactic empire.

Unfortunately I ended up having a computer crash this weekend, a really strange kinda crash as well.  All other accounts on the system where hosed except for mine.  Even when I removed them and re-added them or added completely different new ones they all had issues with IE and other various applications for some reason.  This is just one more reason to get Norton Ghost so I can make image disks to do a quicker restore anytime something like this happens in the future, I hope that everyone takes my advice on this and considers some sort of imaging software to image them system as it saves ya so much time/effort in the long run.  Well, this also means that I may be a little slow over the next week or so getting any updates to the site/family sections, sorry everyone.

I finally picked up overall opening book that is actually worth the price paid for it, Modern Chess Openings 14th Edition which was only $29.95 at Barnes and Noble. I hope to see my overall opening knowledge increase here which will help me finally break out of that 3/1 streak I keep having at the local chess club and go for the gold, 4/0.  Well, I am off to take the kid down to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned and a couple of cavities fild, piece out everyone.

I went 3 and 1 again tonight during the chess tourney just as I have the last 2 weeks as well.  I can't seem to break the 1 game loss each week though, so I am going to pick myself up a chess opening book tomorrow most likely to brush up on my openings again.  For all of those Arizonians out there, we meet every Wednesday night between 6:00pm and 7:00pm and play till around 10:00pm at the Mesa Bookmans store in the back room. So if you play chess and want to play some over the board games come on down and check the place out.  We will be playing there till the end of March when we may have to find a new location as they may be closing that back room and filling it with books instead.  If anyone has any place that they know that a small group of people (8-20 at most) can meet to play chess every Wednesday let me know please.

Well, this is my first day ever using the blog module for DNN on my site but I think that this will work out to be a good thing in the long run.  I have never really done any blogging before, but figured I would give it a try now.

I have been working on SpencerTeck.com for several years on and off now but just recently have really started to get it going and trying to actually expand on the site and add new features, walkthroughs and other services for members and visitors alike.  All I have to say is that this has been one heck of an experience working with a live site/server and actually trying to make something of it, I hope all of are enjoying what SpencerTeck has to offer so far.

I will post some more personal posts later concerning things I have been doing outside of SpencerTeck, like playing chess each Wednesday at the Mesa Bookman's Chess Club and other things,
